‣ A live stage presentation of the biblical story of redemption
‣ Christos has presented the message of the gospel to more than 5,000 viewers since its start in 2007
‣ Designed to be performed in different languages
Christos started in Easter of 2007 as a local church outreach event. Soon after the first performance, we recognized that its creative use of music, video, and live stage acting is a fascinating way to recount the most beautiful story ever told: God’s love for us.
Since that time, Christos has turned into an annual stage performance event taking place during the Easter week. A time appropriate for contemplating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We hope to partner with other churches and committed christian groups to expand delivery to different times and locations and bring the good news of Christos to as many people as possible.
The Christos Story performance event takes the general form of a historical narrative. This narrative is composed of a selected number of biblical stories and events that are arranged chronologically starting from the story of creation and culminating in the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus.
The Christos narrative focuses primarily on redemptive history. To this end, even when the performance deals with Old Testament material, the focus is perspicuously Christ (thus the title ‘The Christos Story’).
